Welcome to Navette Jewellery. This website is devoted to exploring aspects of antique jewellery – the different periods, the gems, the designs, the history and the sheer beauty of them. The main focus is Victorian jewellery, that is, from 1839 until 1901, because so much has survived from that period. The jewellery from 1901 up to the beginning of WWI is also of interest, covering as it does, the Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Edwardian eras.

A little about myself. My name is Margaret Jackson and I live in Melbourne. I sell antique and estate jewellery in two locations, online at Ruby Lane in my shop Navette (http://www.rubylane.com/shop/navette) and at the Camberwell Antique Centre in Melbourne (Shop 5A, 25-29 Cookson Street, Camberwell). I am a qualified gemologist, having completed a Diploma of Gemmology at the Gemmological Association of Australian.
