Weddings seem to be quite formal affairs still, with beautiful dresses, flowers and jewellery. I have noticed that earrings are some of the most important accessories to the wedding dress, more so, in fact, than a necklace. Sometimes, simple pearl stud earrings are all that is needed but I have pulled together a selection of more noticeable earrings that might be suitable for a wedding.
The vintage rose gold diamond earrings in the photo at the top of the post are stunning. The diamonds curl around in a loop at the top of the earrings before flowing downwards, ending in a flexible diamond tail. The earrings move gently as the head is turned.

The moonstone and diamond earrings above, also vintage, are a very sophisticated and structured look. The earrings are white gold. The top of the earrings is a long hollow length with a border of diamonds and with a lovely central flower design. Two oval moonstones are attached as drops.

The next earrings are one way to satisfy the ‘something blue’ tradition for a bride. These drop earrings are comprised of three beautiful aquamarines in each drop. The aquamarines have a lovely depth of blue colour.

The vintage opal and diamond earrings are another pair of drop earrings, comprising four oval white opals supported by diamond drops. Again, the earrings have a lovely movement.

The final earrings are a more delicate look, comprised of amethysts and white paste stones. They are also drop earrings and are set in yellow gold.

Love those moonstone drops
